The Jovial Crew (Cliff Haslam, Joseph Morneault, Rick Spencer and Michael Hotkowski) presents Sea Chanteys, Irish songs, drinking songs and nonsense at The Griswold Inn, 36 Main Street in Essex, CT. The fun starts as soon as you arrive.  “The Gris” website is here.

5 April 2025, Saturday ~ New Fairfield, CT  1:00 pm

The New Fairfield Public Library presents Are We There Yet?: Historic Songs of American Transportation at 2 Brush Hill Road in New Fairfield, CT.  The library’s website is here.

8 May 2025, Thursday ~ Fairfield, CT  6:00 pm

The Fairfield University Art Museum presents Songs of Ireland and Irish-America in the Walsh Gallery of the Quick Center for the Arts, 1073 N Benson Rd, Fairfield, CT.  The museum’s website is here.

17 May 2025, Saturday ~ New London, CT  Time TBD

The New London County Historical Society has invited us to present a concert of sea songs and chanteys as part of their “Marinerfest” event.  The event runs from 11 am to 4 pm, and will include “maritime music, living historians, pop-up shops & more.” Other details will be posted as soon as they’ve been determined.  The organization’s website is here.

28 May 2025, Wednesday ~ Bristol, CT  2:00 pm

The Bristol Public Library presents The Greatest Hits of the Civil War at 5 High Street in Bristol, CT. The Library’s website is here.

6 ~ 9 June 2025 ~ Essex, CT

The Jovial Crew will be performing at the 4th CT Sea Music Festival.  The weekend-long festival will take place around the village of Essex, CT.  The event’s website is here.

10 June 2025, Tuesday ~ Essex, CT  5:30 pm and 6:45 pm

The Connecticut River Museum has invited us to participate once again in their Shanties and Sails series.  We’ll do a concert on the lawn at 5:30 pm, followed by a musical sail aboard the historic vessel Onrust at 6:45 pm. The concert is free of charge.  Reservations are required for the sail.  The museum is at 67 Main Street in Essex, CT.  Their website is here.

14 June 2025, Saturday ~ Pomfret, CT  6:00 pm

The Pomfret Historical Society presents Washington’s Favorite, The Nation’s Guest: Songs of Lafayette’s Time in America at 17 Town House Drive in Pomfret, CT.  There will be a meet and greet gathering at 6:00 pm, followed by the concert at 7:00 pm.  The organization’s website is here.

9 July 2025, Wednesday ~ New Haven, CT  6:30 pm

The Pardee-Morris House, 325 Lighthouse Road in New Haven, CT presents The Jovial Crew in concert from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.  The organization’s website is here.

The Manchester Public Library Presents Are We There Yet? Songs of American Transportation at the Whiton Branch, 100 North Main Street in Manchester, CT.  The library’s website is here.

22 July 2025, Tuesday ~ Waquoit (East Falmouth), MA  6:30 pm

The Waquoit Bay Reserve presents a concert of sea songs and chanteys at The Waquoit Bay Reserve, 131 Waquoit Highway in Waquoit, MA The organization’s website is here.

18 September 2025, Thursday ~ Brooklyn, CT  7:30 pm

The Brooklyn Historical Society presents Washington’s Favorite, The Nation’s Guest: Songs of Lafayettes’ Time in America at The Trinity Church Parish Hall, 7 Providence Road in Brooklyn, CT.  The organization’s website is here
